2.1 P-04-558 E-CIGARETTE BAN FOR UNDER 18s
The Committee considered the petition for the first time and agreed to write to the:
· Minister for Health and Social Services seeking his views on the petition; and
· Petitioner, highlighting the Minister’s recent statements on the matter.
2.2 P-04-559 Secondary School Awareness of Self-Harm
The Committee considered the petition for the first time and agreed to write to:
· the Minister for Education and Skills and the Minister for Health and Social Services;
· all Local Health Boards; and
· the Welsh Local Government Association.

2.3 P-04-560 Provision of IBD Services in Wales
The Committee considered the petition for the first time and agreed to write to:

2.4 P-04-561 Promotion of Grassroots Rugby in Wales to Encourage Take-Up of the Sport
The Committee considered the petition for the first time and agreed to write to:
· the Minister for Culture and Sport; and
· Welsh Rugby Union
seeking their views on the petition.
2.5 P-04-562 Caernarfon Heritage Centre
The Committee considered the petition for the first time and agreed to write to:
· the Minister for Culture and Sport; and
· Gwynedd County Council
seeking their views on the petition.
2.6 P-04-563 Provision of Services at Pontypridd Fire Station
The Committee considered the petition for the first time and agreed to write to:
· the Minister for Local Government and Government Business; and
· South Wales Fire and Rescue Service
seeking their views on the petition. The Committee was particularly interested to know the Minister’s view on how the recommendations of the Williams’ review of local government would impact on Fire Authorities.
2.7 P-04-564 Restoration of Inpatient Beds, Minor Injuries Cover and X-Ray Unit to the Ffestiniog Memorial Hospital
The Committee considered the petition for the first time and agreed to write to:
· the Minister for Health and Social Services seeking his views on the petition; and
· Betsi Cadwaladr Univeristy Health Board
seeking their views on the petition.
2.8 P-04-565 Revive disused railway lines for leisure
The Committee considered the petition for the first time and agreed to write to the Minister for Economy, Science and Transport and the Minister for Culture and Sport seeking their views on the petition.
2.9 P-04-566 Review the School Admissions Code
The Committee considered the petition for the first time and agreed to write to:
· the Minister for Education and Skills; and
· the Welsh Local Government Association
seeking their views on the petition.
3 Updates to previous petitions
3.1 P-04-536 Stop Factory Dairy Farming in Wales
The Committee considered the legal briefing note on the petition and agreed to consider the petition further at the next Committee meeting.
3.2 P-04-530 Bilingual Labeling
The Committee considered correspondence on the petition and agreed to:
· close the petition as it is clear that the Minister cannot comply with what the petitioner is asking for; and
· in doing highlight the petition to Welsh Members of the European Parliament.
3.3 P-04-492 Diagnosis of autism in children
The Committee considered correspondence on the petition and agreed to write, as requested by the Petitioner, to the Deputy Minister to ask if:
· NAS Cymru can be invited to supply a member of the Task and Finish Group the Deputy Minister is establishing; and
· that the Task and Finish Group’s report and recommendations are made public in due course.
3.4 P-04-397 Living Wage
The Committee considered correspondence on the petition and agreed to:
write to the Minister asking for reassurance that the issue will be considered at the Workforce Partnership Council meeting which is due to take place in September; and
await the outcome of the meeting.
3.5 P-04-373 School Exclusion Zones for Mobile Hot Food Vans
The Committee considered correspondence on the petition and agreed to:
· seek a response from the petitioner to the Minister’s letter; and
· await the further update promised by the Minister.
3.6 P-04-496 Through Schools
The Committee considered the petition and agreed to close it as there has been no engagement from the petitioner for some time.
3.7 P-04-511 Support for children and young people participation standards
The Committee considered the petition and agreed to:
· ask the Minister for his response to the two suggestions made by the petitioners in relation to support for the ‘Kite-mark’; and
· seek a response from Save the Children to the Committee’s original letter.
3.8 P-04-522 Asbestos in Schools
The Committee considered the petition and agreed to write to:
· the Minister forwarding the petitioner’s recent correspondence;
· the Chair of the Children and Young People Committee drawing attention to the petition; and
· the following stakeholders seeking their views on the petition:
o Wales Trades Union Congress;
o the Welsh Local Government Association; and
o Governors Wales.
3.9 P-04-538 Involving lecturers to ensure a Further Education Inspection Framework that is fit for purpose
The Committee considered the petition and agreed to write to the Chief Inspector of Schools asking for her views on the petitioner’s correspondence.
